Job Description
As part of the Banking Center of Excellence, the Banking Communications Digital Product team is responsible for delivering scalable, compliant, and customer-centric communications across American Express Banking products. This role operates at the center of product, technology, and operations, ensuring that customer servicing communications are effectively designed, built, tested, and delivered across digital and servicing channels.
The Senior Analyst will play a critical role in translating business needs into executable work, orchestrating delivery across teams, and ensuring high-quality, timely execution of communications and digital product capabilities.
Responsibilities
Own and manage the end-to-end delivery of customer communications across digital and servicing channels, from intake through release
Translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories and structured backlog items
Drive refinement sessions, ensuring work is well-defined, prioritized, and ready for development
Partner with Product Managers, Technology, and Operations to align on requirements, sequencing, and delivery timelines
Maintain and manage Jira as the source of truth, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and transparency of work in progress
Provide clear visibility into pipeline status (solution, build, test, release), highlighting risks, dependencies, and blockers
Coordinate across multiple teams to ensure work is properly sequenced and delivered across sprint cycles
Proactively identify and resolve delivery risks, gaps, and inefficiencies
Support the design and evolution of scalable communication frameworks and reusable components
Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, tools, and operating model to drive efficiency and quality
Participate in agile ceremonies and help drive high-performance execution across the team
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in digital product development, product operations, or delivery-focused roles
Strong experience working in Agile environments, including backlog management and sprint execution
Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous requirements into structured, actionable work
Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple workstreams simultaneously
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and drive resolution
Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate and influence cross-functional teams
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, complex environment with shifting priorities
Proactive, ownership mindset with a bias toward action
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience in digital banking, financial services, or regulated environments
Experience working with customer communications platforms or messaging systems
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Mural, and collaboration platforms
Experience working across Product, Technology, and Operations teams
Ability to balance speed and quality in a compliance-driven environment
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
