The Strategic Marketing team is responsible for leading strategy and maximizing effectiveness across all of U.S. Immunology Dermatology as it relates to the following focus areas: Congresses, Sponsorships, Speaker Programs and External Consulting arrangements. This group works collaboratively with other U.S. Commercial Immunology Dermatology teams to establish and manage strategies derived from brand plans, create annual plans related to the above focus areas, and work alongside AbbVie internal functions to support flawless execution.
The Marketing Manager I/II, Dermatology National Conferences and Advocacies position will have responsibility for leading National Congress, strategic partnerships across advocacy groups, Sponsorship strategy and planning across the Dermatology Franchise in collaboration with functional partners - including overseeing the annual planning process. The successful candidate will closely collaborate with Brand Teams, Internal and External Agencies, Medical, Competitive Intelligence, Public Relations, Regulatory, Market Analytics and Business Intelligence (MABI), Legal, Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC), Patient Advocacy, Field Operations, Field Sales, and Business Services teams in order to plan, execute, and create materials for various marketing-sponsored meetings. This position will be leveled at a Grade 18-19 based on experience.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Lead the integrated strategy and annual planning process for Congresses/Advocacies and Sponsorships related to cross-franchise brand plans
Participate in the annual budgeting process to ensure appropriate funding in order to deliver on brand objectives, including management of this budget
Manage the cross-franchise Congress/Advocacies and Sponsorship master calendar to ensure timelines, logistics and attendance objectives are met for national and advocacy sponsored meetings/events
Oversee and lead cross-functional teams in order to execute upon Congress and Advocacy objectives (e.g., American Academy of Dermatology, Fall Clinical, EADV, NPF, NEA, GVF, and NAAF)
Partner with patient advocacy and professional organizations to identify Sponsorship opportunities outside of congresses to support patients with Dermatologic conditions, including managing and creating a cross-functional Advocacy Playbook
Ensure maximum benefits are being received from Sponsorship opportunities including tracking and sharing internally with the appropriate teams
Develop and deliver executive-level communications and presentations for national conferences, leadership meetings, and strategic partnership engagements to ensure alignment on priorities and drive stakeholder buy-in
Ensure adherence to relevant policies and procedures related to planning and executing Congresses/Advocacies and Sponsorships, in collaboration with OEC
Track relevant metrics, and develop reporting / present outputs to Dermatology teams
Continually contribute to process and capability innovation through assessments and recommendations
Stay current on all processes and procedures related to Congresses and Sponsorships
Continually seek out best practices from other Abbvie franchises
Operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, adapting strategy to evolving market dynamics and delivering measurable business impact
Manage complex projects end-to-end with strong organization, attention to detail, and disciplined communication to keep leadership and stakeholders aligned
Apply creative problem-solving and strategic thinking to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and ensure flawless execution of key initiatives

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
Excellent verbal, written, and executive presentation communication skills
Excellent diplomacy and facilitation skills; ability to influence without authority
Computer skills, MS Office and third-party software as needed
Solid business acumen, including budget management
Preferred:
Marketing experience
Knowledge of AbbVie policies, procedures, culture, and other brand team operations
Knowledge and experience in Dermatology markets
Pharmaceutical industry experience (Client or Agency)
Congress and advocacy management experience (Client or Agency)

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at thetime of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location,and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. ?
