About Network & Acquiring Solutions
As part of the Global Merchant & Network Services group (GMNS), the Network & Acquirer Solutions (NAS) team is at the core of American Express, uniquely positioned to support every business unit and customer across the Enterprise. The American Express Network enables over $1.6 trillion in annual spend, serving our Issuers and Acquirers in more than 170 markets worldwide. We are driving a strategic, multi-year Enterprise Payments program to bring all payments together into a center of excellence to drive operational excellence for payment execution, enable innovative payment products, services, and capabilities to be built effectively and efficiently, support our BU strategies more closely, and deliver on our customers’ evolving payment needs.
About the Role
The role of Director, Enterprise Payments Product Management is an exciting opportunity for a talented product leader to define the product strategy and roadmap to deliver a best-in-class enterprise payment service for American Express. The incumbent will be a central member of the Enterprise Payments COE that is tasked with driving an enterprise critical multi-year Multi-Rail Payments program established to (1) accelerate the development of our enterprise payment services and (2) redesign the operating model surrounding it to drive excellence in payment execution. This role will help to reshape and transform how payment products are built and delivered at American Express. The Director, Enterprise Payments Product Management will collaborate closely with Business, Delivery, and Technology to define the product vision and roadmap for Enterprise Payments. This role will lead our Pay Amex product team focused on the US market needs at a time of significant investment. The leader will build and develop a strong and high performing product team to modernize our core services improving customer outcomes, operations outcomes, and risk and control outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy for Bill Payment that aligns with the Enterprise’ overarching goals
Identify, evaluate, and concisely communicate rationale for initiatives that drive experience improvements, cost efficiency, and risk reduction in Bill Payment
Guide the team in creating and maintaining product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
Oversee the team’s market research efforts to stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the product management team.
Ensure the team utilizes data-driven insights to identify market opportunities and guide product decisions.
Lead key commercial engagements supporting AXP to deliver new product partnerships
Collaborate with product development leader and team to build a roadmap for all payment experiences underpinned by an aligned capability strategy (Development team led)
Identify and prioritize payments-related experience improvement initiatives / features
Support investment planning and partner engagement across LOBs to consolidate a well-rounded set of priorities and rationalized prioritization for them
Requirements/Qualifications:
Vision: Ability to see the big picture and develop long-term plans that align with business objectives.

Data driven: Comfortable taking calculated risks and making tough choices when necessary.
Payment’s expertise : Passion for payments and the advancement in technologies driving innovation in the payment’s ecosystem. Knowledge of Bill Pay capabilities and/or A2A money movement (ACH, wires, RTP, etc.) a plus.
Passion for results : Passion to drive execution and deliver results in a dynamic and highly matrixed environment.
Product experience : Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a Product organization driving large, complex, and transformational initiatives.
Analytical mindset: High-intellectual curiosity and strong analytical and critical thinking skills with experience in complex problem solving and strategic thought leadership.
Highly collaborative : Ability to effectively collaborate with and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on shared objectives.
Effective communicator and influencer : Ability to influence key partners and executive stakeholders. Excellent communication skills, proficient in developing excellent quality presentations and deliverables for an executive audience.
Operate Autonomously: Takes initiatives from concept to Development. Able to prioritize in ambiguous situations.

Qualifications
Salary Range: $144,250.00 to $256,250.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
