DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Controls Engineer – Senior (On-Site) to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in York, SC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  1. Innovative Control Systems : By developing and designing advanced control systems, you'll enhance the efficiency and reliability of machinery and equipment.

  2. Effective Testing : Implementing thorough bench tests ensures that all components function correctly, leading to higher quality and performance standards.

  4. Cost Management : Preparing accurate cost estimates and appropriation requests will help in budgeting and financial planning, ensuring projects stay within financial constraints.

  5. Strategic Planning : Investigating project requirements and developing solutions will align with economic, personnel, and environmental considerations, fostering sustainable practices.

  6. Technical Expertise : Installing and providing technical support for PLC-based hardware and software will ensure seamless integration and operation of control systems.

  7. Mentorship : Coaching and mentoring less experienced Controls Engineers will build a stronger, more knowledgeable team, enhancing overall productivity.

  8. Continuous Improvement : Altering software and equipment to meet specifications will drive continuous improvement and innovation in control systems technology.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information:

  • Role Expectations: This position will require the selected candidate to report on-site 100% of the time.

  • Extensive experience in automation and controls within a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficient in Ignition or similar SCADA systems.

  • 8-10 years of experience, holding a degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or an Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology preferred.
