Role Overview
The Director, Compensation Analytics & Market Intelligence will play a critical role in shaping and delivering a compelling compensation strategy for the Enterprise as part of the Global Compensation Strategy and Compensation Consulting team. This person will own the analytical and market intelligence capabilities that support compensation structures, programs and processes, benchmarking, and global compensation tools. The role partners closely with Colleague Strategic Partners (CSPs), Compensation Consulting, Colleague Insights, and CEG leadership to ensure our compensation programs are differentiated, competitive, equitable, and aligned with our strategic priorities, while compensation colleagues have the right tools and insights to execute within them.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the refinement of compensation analytics frameworks, including modelling, forecasting, scenario-analysis, and insights that inform decision-making and strategic planning
Ensure compensation programs maintain external competitiveness, internal equity, and alignment with business objectives. Lead program reviews and enhancements leveraging market intelligence
Translate market, regulatory, economic, retention, and workforce trends into actionable insights and guide the evolution of our compensation philosophy and program design
Own key compensation processes including market benchmarking, year-end project management, annual compensation review cycle, and benchmarking existing AXP programs to ensure process integrity, alignment to business strategy, and risk mitigation
Serve as the escalation point for compensation analytics queries, methodological challenges and ad-hoc reporting needs, guiding the broader team through interpretation of results and strategic recommendations
Develop and oversee the external market-pricing strategy, including survey participation, peer-group definition, job-matching methodology, pay positioning, and trend tracking
Maintain external relationships with compensation consulting firms and survey vendors to keep our insight engine best-in-class
Serve as a trusted advisor to Compensation Consulting, CSPs, Colleague Insights, and business leadership, offering consultative support on compensation decisions and strategy
Collaborate cross-functionally to design and deliver compensation tools (e.g., dashboards, modeling tools, decision-support frameworks) that empower partners to drive compensation decisions aligned to strategy
Lead and mentor a team of compensation analytics professionals, fostering a culture of insight-driven decision-making, operational excellence and continuous learning
Champion the evolution of the compensation analytics function, including tool enhancements, data-architecture improvements and automation opportunities
Minimum Qualifications
8 years of progressive experience in compensation, total rewards or workforce analytics, preferably within financial services or global organizations
Strong executive presence and experience influencing senior leadership across CEG, Finance, and lines of business
Demonstrated expertise in compensation benchmarking methodologies, salary structure management, and analytics (modelling, forecasting, scenario planning)
Exceptional analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel, data-visualization tools, HRIS/compensation systems, and survey analytics
Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate market and economic trends, and translate them into insights and learnings
Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to craft compelling narratives and deliver insights to senior audiences
Strong project leadership and change-management skills; experience leading global or regional compensation initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certification (e.g., CCP) or advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in HR/Analytics) preferred.
Experience leading compensation across multiple geographies and cultural contexts is a plus

Salary Range: $123,000.00 to $215,250.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
