Description
We are looking for a senior full-stack iOS architect-level engineer to create new features for Apple Services powered by Generative AI at the core. As a Software Engineer on our team, you will develop apps, frameworks and daemons for iOS platforms which deliver innovative and reliable interfaces and experiences to our customers. In this role, you will work at all stages of incubation including ideation, development, and experimentation to realize next generation ideas. You will work on the front-end development as well as the iOS native stack. You will actively develop system experiences working closely with Design & UI/UX teams, AI Scientists and R&D engineers on next-gen GenAI Systems.
Minimum Qualifications
BS/MS plus 10 years of iOS development experience, with a strong track record in both user-facing apps and system-level components
Proficient in designing and architecting projects with minimal supervision
Deep knowledge of the iOS ecosystem, including iPhone and iPad platforms
Exceptional development experience with Swift, Objective-C, Cocoa, and C++ Experience with operating systems design, including daemons, frameworks, and cross-process communication
Familiarity with embedded platforms and low-level system interactions
Proficiency in Xcode, UI/UX design, Core Data management, and Apple’s development APIs (UIKit, Cocoa Touch)
Experience with native UI development, database management, and backend integration
Strong ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams, including engineers, researchers, and designers
Excellent communication skills, with a focus on teamwork and problem-solving
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with rapidly changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Passion for the customer experience, and obsessive about details
Working experience and deep understanding of full-stack software, object-oriented design, distributed systems, and multi-threading
Background and understanding of Machine Learning & on Device ML is a plus
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS or GCP
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $207,800 and $378,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
