Description
Our organization collaborates with numerous cross-functional teams throughout the company. We seek an individual who can partner with our engineering managers and teams to facilitate alignment among cross-functional teams regarding features, schedules, and issues. Our typical requests encompass enhancements to existing systems, augmentations of features, or the development of entirely new services to meet business objectives. In all such cases, we initiate discussions and meetings with our cross-functional partners to obtain, negotiate, and align requirements.
Engineering Project Managers (EPMs) serve as facilitators for the teams they support, ensuring clarity by developing comprehensive plans, motivating the team to execute these plans, establishing clear goals and expectations, and identifying and eliminating obstacles. As an EPM, you will have the opportunity to influence and develop strong relationships with team members from diverse functional areas and organizational levels.
You will collaborate with engineering teams throughout the feature development lifecycle. Proactively identify, prioritize, and resolve program issues. Present and communicate new feature initiatives, critical issues, risks, and achievements.
Your primary responsibility is ensuring project success and delivery, with a keen attention to detail and effective communication about project status
Minimum Qualifications
3 years of demonstrated experience working on large, multi-functional projects simultaneously
Excel at program management—setting goals, developing project plans, managing delivery, mitigating risks, measuring outcomes, and reporting on impact
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Curiosity and passion for new technologies, and proven ability to quickly understand technical concepts
Background in software development, either as a software engineer or having been exposed to the software development life cycle.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in software and network security concepts (e.g. TLS , PKI)
Possess extensive expertise in a specific technology domain, encompassing network security, storage management, database systems, cloud computing, operating systems, and related areas.
Experience in customer-facing support roles, either as a technician, sales engineer or technical marketing engineer
Proficient in making sound decisions and prioritizing tasks. Demonstrated experience in managing tight production schedules with dependencies and complex priorities.
Proficiency in utilizing project management software, such as Jira or Trello.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience.
