Summary
The worldwide Apple Retail Engagement & Marketing (REM) team defines, makes and delivers programs, campaigns, initiatives and experiences that help Apple Retail’s customers and teams discover, be inspired by, learn about and go further with Apple’s products and services, and does so in a manner that is true to our values
The Head of Programming is an evangelist of this vision, and is responsible for developing and delivering an ongoing program of culturally relevant programming.
This position will drive the strategy, development and oversee production of programs that drive customer interest and engagement across Apple Retail stores across AMR West.
Description
The Head of Programming plays a critical role in shaping the strategic vision and execution of Today at Apple across all programming types. This role is responsible for architecting programming strategies that reflect Apple’s brand, business objectives, and cultural relevance—delivered through in-store, virtual, and digital formats. With a focus on innovation, audience impact, and business alignment, the Head of Programming sets quarterly and annual roadmaps, drives key pan-geo initiatives, and partners across Apple to ensure programming contributes meaningfully to the broader Retail and brand strategy.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years experience in managing high profile events and partnerships, including broadcast events, series content/formats, virtual events/content experiences, experiential and live.
Experience working with large well-known brands and partnering with diverse talent
Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of an organization, whether with a peer or senior/exec level leadership through crisp, data-driven, strategic briefs
Proven ability to manage multiple cross-functional teams include and are not limited to: Programming, Production, Creative, Product Marketing, Public Relations, Retail Operations, Internal Communications, Training, Merchandising, Finance, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
Flexible project management style with agility to quickly adapt and effect change. Ability to successfully navigate and implement multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
Well connected within the cultural and creative industry in their regional market with the ability to discover, recommend, and source talent.
Creative and highly strategic in the development of content experiences and programs that build and engage audiences, deliver against business and marketing objectives, and deliver demonstrable value.
Strong presentation skills including experience presenting to large audiences.
Discreet and professional with excellent collaboration, verbal and written communication and networking skills
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $124,100 and $186,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
