DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Area Parts Manager to join our team specializing in Service for Cummins, Inc. Grand Rapids, MI.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Team Supervision : Oversee a team of Parts Specialists and warehouse staff, ensuring effective teamwork and productivity.

  • Leadership : Demonstrate leadership in Parts Capability processes and drive business results.

  • Inventory Management : Manage physical inventory using control methodologies to meet customer expectations and resolve complex parts issues.

  • Worldwide Parts Support : Ensure parts support for customers, original equipment manufacturers, and distribution channels at first shipment for new product launches and current products in the field. while interfacing with manufacturing plant facilities, the distribution channel, original equipment manufacturers, end customers, parts distribution centers, joint ventures, purchasing and internal customers.

  • Policy Compliance : Ensure policies and procedures are followed, productivity is achieved, and employee questions are addressed.

  • Customer Visits : Visit key customers to understand concerns, develop relationships, analyze inquiries, recommend solutions, and improve order management processes.

  • Track Improvements : Track improvements to closure, communicate progress to customers, and build strong customer relationships.

  • Customer Support : Demonstrate proactive customer support interactions throughout the order life cycle to ensure customer satisfaction and a positive overall experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Customer Support - Engage with customers at each phase of the order life cycle.Understand how customer support and the order life cycle are interconnected. Effective communication and support at each stage can lead to a seamless and positive customer experience.

  • Order Processing - Efficiently manage the processing of customer orders. This includes accurately receiving orders, identifying and resolving any exceptions, and ensuring that orders are fulfilled according to customer requirements.

  • Warehouse Inventory Control - Manages physical inventory utilizing inventory control methodologies to maintain inventory and meet customer expectations.

  • Warehouse Operations - Use warehousing tools, systems, and methodologies to meet defined metrics for both inbound and outbound operations. Always look for ways to improve processes and increase efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

  • College or trade based certification or experience equivalent in related field.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Intermediate industry related experience required; either related to Parts, Service or Warehousing.

APM will be required to make bi-weekly trips to the Saginaw location.
