Summary

Would you like to join a team focused on solving the technical challenges of Apple’s future products? We are the Apple Reliability Lab team, and we support Reliability and Product Development Engineers in testing the durability and longevity of Apple’s prototype hardware designs.

The Rel Labs team works collaboratively to produce data that will enable Reliability Engineers to determine the best designs to choose for mass production. This role will support all materials testing, with a focus on cosmetic as well as functional failures.

Description

As a Reliability Test Engineer, you’ll utilize your collaborative and comprehensive skills and experience to evaluate new materials in a variety of scenarios that simulate real-world use such as staining from food and discoloration due to sunlight exposure. You will set up test equipment and fixtures, collect data, and analyze results.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of industry experience

  • Exceptional attention to detail, translating into excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Understand physics and electronics, applying creativity, common sense, and technical skills to solve complex problems.

  • Experience working in a Reliability or materials testing lab.

  • Experience taking high quality images with digital microscopes and camera systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with color measurement equipment such as spectrophotometers.

  • Proficient in MacOS, iOS, and Apple hardware.

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science, or five years equivalent experience.
