Senior Envisioning Analyst – Strategic Network Solutions
Department:
The Network & Acquiring Solutions (NAS) team at American Express powers global payments, working across business units and with key industry stakeholders. We tackle critical challenges like securing online transactions and driving innovation in payment solutions.
The GMNS Product Team drives the delivery of digital products and services for merchants, acquirers, issuers, and payment facilitators. Our solutions span ATM/debit, point-of-sale authorizations and submissions, transaction pricing, disputes, and settlement — all designed to meet the evolving demands of the global payment network. By developing a wide range of innovative capabilities, we enable American Express to attract new customers, expand into new markets, respond to regulatory requirements, and support emerging payment types.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Envisioning Analyst, you will support business transformation and product strategy efforts by contributing to discovery and envisioning activities. You will gather and analyze business needs, translate them into capability requirements, and support the design of innovative solutioning. In this role, you will conduct research, synthesize insights, and assist in evaluating solution options to address complex business challenges. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to stakeholder discussions, and help prepare materials and insights for leadership presentations.

Collaborate with partners to understand business problems, processes, and requirements.
Develop a deep understanding of Network and Acquiring capabilities.
Clearly articulate the required changes through well written and detailed business requirement documents.
Conduct necessary research to inform strategy and recommendations.
Engage experts and stakeholders to enable informed decisions.
Ensure timely communication of deadlines and decisions.
Prepare compelling presentation materials for leadership
Drive continuous improvement in discovery to deliver lasting value.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in business analysis and/or product discovery
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
A good balance of technical knowledge and business acumen with experience in driving innovation through discovery, analysis, and collaboration
Excellent communication skills with ability to engage, influence, and inspire teams and alignment
Strong analytical skills with the ability to clearly articulate complexities
Strong collaboration, presentation and influencing skills
Experience in business transformation and Agile frameworks
Payments industry experience is preferred but not essential
