Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Waltham, Massachusetts. Design and manufacture our next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processor, system-on-chip (SoC). Work on the Video Encoder/Compression with the Silicon Validation team. Ensure Apple products and services can seamlessly and efficiently handle tasks. Develop low-level software to validate the functionality, conformance, and performance of video compression blocks. Bring up and debug devices on new hardware platforms. Work with multi-functional teams to support product requirements. Design and develop software to validate and test video systems in silicon. Triage and debug failures. Write script harnesses to run the tests. Write test plans enumerating the testing required for validation of the video system in silicon. Report results of silicon testing. 40 hours/week.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Education and/or experience with each of the following:
Python scripting language for validation flow.
Utilizing programming language C for software development
Utilizing Object Oriented Programming techniques in software development.
Utilizing Agile software development lifecycle in software development and testing.
Utilizing Image and Video Processing techniques to validate video systems in silicon.
Utilizing VLSI Design techniques to work on silicon validation software development.
Utilizing Machine Learning techniques to improve validation software coverage.
Utilizing algorithms and advanced data structure to improve validation software efficiency.
