Summary

As part of our Silicon Technologies group, you’ll help design and manufacture our next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processor, system-on-chip (SoC). You’ll ensure Apple products and services can seamlessly and efficiently handle the tasks that make them beloved by millions. Ability to setup and maintain regression racks, thermal racks and keep good record of inventory.
Regression rack setups include Mac Mini’s, network switch, APC power strip, DUTs and cable
harness. Setup and test thermal systems which includes pneumatic thermal head, DUTs, APC
power strip and cable harness. Soldering skills to support minor rework on thru-hole and SMT.
Knowledge of passive components, sizes and values. Familiar with oscilloscope and DVM test
and setup. Ability to duplicate host image and assist with parts swap for systems. Superb
organizing skills and ability to communicate accurately and concisely to team members.
Description
Assemble thermal systems, include mac mini, development board, water and air.
• Assemble regression racks, include mac mini, development board, power and network.
• Dress power and network cables neatly for regression/thermal racks.
• Box/unbox hardware to and from thermal/regression racks.
• Diagnose and repair software and hardware issues on regression racks.
• Perform mac mini OS restores.
• Lab management which includes keeping the labs clean and organized.
• Inventory upkeep
• Operate thermal oven and assist users.
• Rework, touch-up and solder passive components.
• Assist on-site testing and troubleshooting.
• Support remote users with part swap and adjust thermal stations.
• Assist cross-functional teams at FPGA and VG3 emulation labs
• FPGA system builds and teardown.
• Pickup/Dropoff hardware between lab sites.
Minimum Qualifications
- AAS Degree with +3 years experience in Semiconductor Test Lab support environment or High School Diploma +7 years experience in the Semiconductor Test Lab support environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Must be Hands-On with all lab related tasks
Knowledge and skills in using basic hand tools
Physical strength necessary to unload, lift and carry heavy boxes up to 40lbs
Soldering skills and ability to perform board component rework
Team player with excellent written and conversational communication skills
Troubleshooting and Debugging skills
Exhibits strong organizational skills
Basic knowledge of Networking, Remote Desktop and Server
Knowledge of lab test equipment such as Oscilloscope and DMM
Knowledge of Macintosh and Windows OS
Proficient with digital productivity tools (Numbers/Excel, Keynote, etc.)
Knowledge of Python programming language
Coding and scripting skills is a plus but is not required
Able to balance multiple tasks at once
Must be flexible with working hours; occasional after-hours and weekend availability may be required
Some traveling may be required.
