Apple is looking for world-class Thin Film Transistor (TFT) panel process engineer who will be an integral part of next Apple products. TFT process team is responsible for delivering advanced TFT panel technologies and architectures to realize world’s best performance in iPad and Mac displays.
Seeking individual will serve as a focal point in overseeing the unit process and integration of TFT architecture; from research, development to mass production implementation of TFT panels. This includes various simulations and characterizations related to structural, device performance of TFT, in addition to performing failure analysis and navigating solutions with various disciplines within Apple.
Description
New TFT process development and application to Apple products
Responsible for TFT process of various TFT backplanes, such as OLED, LCD
Work with various display manufacturers from development to mass production stage
Failure analysis and characterization to identify root cause and corrective action
In-depth study regarding device physics and panel level TFT reliability
Structural and device simulation to predict and analyze TFT performance
Fundamental study to seek future candidate of TFT technologies
Collaboration with cross-functional teams including, but not limited to: Display Optics, Touch, Display EE and Mechanical Engineering and so on
Minimum Qualifications
M.S degree in above mentioned disciplines plus 4 years of TFT industry experience
Proficiency written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on, in-depth technical knowledge, and proven track record on development of various TFT technologies
Strong device physics background on various TFT technologies: a-Si, oxide and LTPS
Modeling capabilities via TFT or semiconductor device and/or structural simulation
Sound understanding of overall display manufacturing control, yield improvement and reliability requirements
Background in OLED technology, flexible displays, printed electronics and sensor is strongly preferred
Experience with flat panel display or semiconductor equipment and process (CVD, PVD, ALD, Etch(dry/wet), Photolithography, ELA)
Experience and knowledge in analytical tools (SEM, TEM, XRD, AFM, XPS, SIMS)
Experience in statical analysis

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
