Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Austin, Texas. Coordinate strategic sourcing and procurement responsibilities. Develop and execute sourcing strategies and recommend product innovations based on improving technology. Utilize knowledge of the commodity landscape in order to forecast industry trends and gauge emerging competitive forces. Drive negotiations for optimal terms with suppliers. Build analytics, tools, and cost models for the business. Communicate findings to senior staff and identify potential supply issues that can affect product strategy. Optimize global supply chain performance through cost and scenario analysis, benchmarking, forecasting, and capacity analysis. Assess and mitigate risks to the business. Assist with global supply chain disruptions in real time. Support new product ramps and supplier qualifications. International and domestic travel required 15%. 40 hours/week.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related field and two years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related field and five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.

  • 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:

  • Should-cost analysis;

  • Scenario analysis;

  • Supplier management;

  • Commercial negotiations;

  • Excel for advanced analytics;

  • Strategic Supply Planning; and

  • Risk Analysis.
