The Global Fleet Management team plays a critical role in supporting Apple teams across more than 40 countries and 123 business units. Our mission is to control costs, boost efficiency, and enhance productivity while maintaining top-level compliance, safety, and privacy standards. We manage the complete lifecycle of approximately 2,000 fleet assets, authorize and support over 3,700 active drivers, and oversee more than $20M in allocated spend globally. From vehicle procurement and maintenance programs to Policies and sustainability initiatives, our team ensures operational continuity by providing safe, compliant, and cost-effective fleet and equipment solutions.
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized professional to join our team as a Fleet Operations Support Specialist to provide critical operational support across our maintenance programs, vendor management, and compliance activities.
Description
As a Fleet Operations Support Specialist, you will serve as the operational backbone for our fleet maintenance and compliance programs, ensuring vehicles and material handling equipment remain safe, compliant, and operationally ready. You will manage preventative maintenance schedules, coordinate with vendors and site contacts, process maintenance transactions and approvals, and maintain accurate records across multiple fleet management systems. You will work closely with Fleet Managers, site personnel, vendors, and cross-functional partners to deliver seamless operational support and solve complex problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of experience in fleet management, vehicle maintenance scheduling, vendor coordination, Department of Transportation compliance, or similar operational support role
Valid driver's license with at least 3 years of driving history
Strong proficiency with Excel or Numbers for data management, reporting, and schedule tracking
Excellent attention to detail with ability to review invoices, identify discrepancies, and reconcile complex billing in high-volume environments
Ability to perform physical activities including pushing/pulling equipment, bending/stooping/squatting/kneeling, reaching above shoulders, and lifting up to 35 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
Some college coursework or degree
3-5 years of relevant experience in fleet operations, maintenance coordination, or vendor management support desired
Experience with Fleet Management Companies (FMCs), fleet management portals, maintenance approval systems, or telematics platforms desired
DOT compliance experience or certifications desired
Material handling equipment (MHE) certifications or experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and similar equipment
Superior communication skills with ability to summarize and share relevant information clearly across all organizational levels, building trust and strong partnerships with customers, colleagues, vendors, and leadership
Excellent problem-solving and investigative skills, able to work with vague or incomplete information and dig into details to find solutions
Thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced environments; extremely proactive, responsive, and adaptable with strong organizational skills and ability to manage changing priorities in a transformational setting
