The Executive Protection Agent (EPA) is responsible for providing the physical protection and security of the Company's senior leaders by monitoring their business agendas, travel itineraries and event attendance. Although the EPA will perform executive protection duties, there are numerous administrative responsibilities. The EPA also manages oversight of corporate events, security staffing, event staffing, liaison and connectivity with all internal Global Security personnel.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Provide executive protection and other security-related functions for American Express senior leaders during domestic and/or international assignments.

  • Conduct and oversee protective advance and event security planning with security teams globally.

  • Transport senior leaders to events and appointments.

  • Respond to emergencies and perform appropriate medical aid as required.

  • Act as an intermediary between events staff and external security personnel to ensure cohesive corporate event coverage in all regions.

  • Administer special projects and EP/Event field support duties. This support will assist AmEx Global Security personnel performing executive protection functions worldwide.

  • Contribute to global security related to executive protection (EP) and event assignments, to include managing EP event costs. - Communicate vulnerabilities or safety concerns in a timely manner and provide effective resolutions.

  • Complete incident reports, expense reports, medical treatment reports, and other administrative requirements.

  • Assist with data entries and reports associated with executive protection.

  • Operate and maintain protective operations and communications equipment.

  • Promptly identify and escalate deficiencies/failures.

  • Clearly communicate highest priority operational and administrative matters to office leadership and facilitate timely resolutions.

  • Other duties, as assigned.

  • On-call 24/7/365.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of administrative and operational computer and devices applications

  • Must obtain a New York State armed guard license and an HR218

  • Must be qualified to obtain a TSA/ASO certification. Support for this certification is available

  • Experience in Executive Protection, and former law enforcement experience

  • Executive office experience, the ability to handle competing priorities and strong people leadership skills

  • Possess valid US driver's license

  • Possess knowledge of IT systems and common computer applications

  • Required to maintain a high level of confidentiality and loyalty to the corporate brand

  • Proven self-starter with excellent time management, problem solving, and decision-making skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to interface effectively with all levels of management and business partners. - Effective written/verbal communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and effectively communicate requirements to AmEx executives and Global Security leadership. - Demonstrated people leadership

  • Ability to foster positive relationships with internal and external partners

  • Project management experience

  • Manage diverse tasks and prioritize administrative workload with minimal direction

  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with a high degree of attention to detail

  • A high degree of energy and flexibility; proactive, self-motivated assertive and creative drive

  • Operate in a fast paced and stressful environment

Preferred Qualification:

  • A College/University degree

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
