Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Seattle, Washington. Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs for Content Management System (CMS) used by Apple, Inc. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Migrate hosted systems to Apple Cloud Infrastructure (ACI). Integrate CMS with Box Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Add search functionality to CMS. Design and implement solutions for onboarding new content types for Instructional Products. Replace older systems in proprietary ACI systems so that company can continue to provide User Guides for all of Apple’s products. Modernize older systems. Test end-to-end coverage. Complete Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) using Rio so that software engineering is tested automatically ensuring high-quality products for Apple users. Enhance CMS to enable new educational experiences for Apple’s customers. Improve Apple’s proprietary distributed systems architecture to make it easier to make enhancements to Apple’s content strategies and increase the ease of localization of content.
40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 - $250,600/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

  • 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:

  • Utilizing Python development to contribute to backend micro-services development.

  • Using Postgres DB management for data storage and retrieval.

  • Utilizing Redis for caching and state management of data across micro-services.

  • Utilizing S3 for storage and retrieval of static files.

  • Utilizing Splunk to triage issues with production services and monitoring.

  • Utilizing Kubernetes to orchestrate and deploy different micro-services.

  • Utilizing JavaScript and React UI to create web services and applications.

  • Utilizing Kafka to decode and consume.

  • Utilizing ORM techniques for relational database management.

  • Utilizing CI/CD pipeline development to run automation and deploy micro-services to Kubernetes.

  • Utilizing Swift and XCTest to create iOS automation.

  • Utilizing CMS systems to create and deliver content to customers.
