Job Description

We are seeking a skilled IT Technical Specialist with a background in leading projects related to Quality Labs applications. This role will require an understanding of laboratory operations, quality assurance processes, and the technical expertise to implement and support applications that drive productivity, compliance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, application development, system integration, and continuous improvement within the lab or quality management space.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

  • Partner with lab teams, quality assurance professionals, and other stakeholders to identify needs, define requirements, and translate those into technical solutions.

  • Serve as technical expert or lead projects/programs and technical staff to develop, test and implement significant new products, or operational improvements or devise new approaches to problems at the division/business unit.

  • Provide in-depth technical support for existing and new Quality Labs applications, ensuring they meet functional, performance, and security requirements.

  • Act as a point of escalation for complex issues, providing technical solutions to resolve challenges with software, hardware, or system functionality in the lab environment.

  • Proactively monitor and suggest improvements to applications, tools, and processes to enhance lab efficiency, data accuracy, and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO).

  • Develop and maintain documentation for applications, user guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Provide training to end-users as necessary to improve adoption.

  • Accountable for successful and timely completion of all tasks/projects under direct and matrix control. Post completion audit of project after implementation to verify expected benefits vs. costs, both development and operating. Project success is critical to the continued business success of the corporation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 6 years’ experience; Master’s Degree with 5 years’ experience; PhD with 0 years’ experience.

  • Experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering (in addition to equivalent experience listed above, if applicable).

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, ISO standards) and lab best practices.

  • Solid experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (JIRA, Trello, MS Project, etc.).

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.??
