Description

Skills are a universal language of talent with the ability to power development, careers, and business impact. Apple is looking for a Talent Skills & Workforce Intelligence Lead who will drive the design and implementation of the skills intelligence system to do just that. This ground-up architecture work requires design thinking, extensive partnership, and enablement across the organization. You'll lead the development of a comprehensive skills taxonomy and proficiency framework before orchestrating their integration into core People systems to become operational.

Success depends on your ability to build alignment across all levels of key partners. You are skilled at simplifying complex problems and distilling big decisions down to their core. You thrive in a collaborative environment with open dialogue and debate. You listen, challenge, and debate to get the best solution — and fully commit to the shared path forward. This role requires equal comfort with talent management philosophies, strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration alongside information architecture and technical implementation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in Talent Management programs, systems, or workforce planning with expertise in skills taxonomy design and information architecture

  • Exceptional collaboration and ability to influence

  • Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide initiatives

  • Ability to simplify through complexity

  • Strong technical fluency — comfortable partnering with engineering teams on system integration, data models, and implementation

  • Experience driving transformational initiatives across functions that require cultural and operational change

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology

  • Deep expertise in competency modeling, skills architecture, and proficiency framework design at a conceptual level

  • Background in taxonomy development, ontology design, or information architecture applied to talent development
