Apple is currently seeking an enthusiastic Display Technologist to lead the innovation on optimization methodology development for displays used in iPhone, Watch, and other product categories. If you’re a simulation and optimization expert, ready to tackle real-world challenges, come join our team! In collaboration with globally recognized experts in OLED device, panel architecture, and module fabrication, we will embark on the development of display technologies that have the potential to transform Apple products. Candidates with strong problem-solving skills combined with deep interest in displays will be preferred.

Description

  • Develop and assess new display technologies, across a range of Apple products and systems

  • Design algorithms that can predict and improve the performance of OLED displays in Apple products

  • Work with internal teams and external suppliers to characterize, model, and improve display performance through models

  • Validate performance metrics and analyze large quantity data during both development and production phases.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate novel display technologies

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Applied Physics, or related engineering field such as materials engineering/electrical engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience of relevant experience

  • Experience with coding in high-level programming languages such as Python or C

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD or Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Applied Physics, or related engineering field such as materials engineering/electrical engineering.

  • Capability of deep learning algorithm design based on time-sequence data (experience with transformer models preferred).

  • Knowledge in organic light emitting diodes (OLED) displays.

  • Experience in optical modeling techniques, such as TMM, Raytracing, FDTD or RCWA.

  • Capability to analyze large quantity data and draw meaningful/actionable conclusions.

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders across multiple teams.

  • Proficiency in programming with any of the following languages: Matlab, Python, Java, C+ Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
