The Role
Search is often the first touchpoint between a customer and our brand — and you’ll be at the center of shaping that experience. As an SEO Analyst at American Express , you’ll play a key role in building and scaling our Enterprise SEO Framework, ensuring millions of customers around the world can easily discover and engage with our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
Support SEO Strategy Execution : Partner with SEO leads, business units, and agencies to implement SEO best practices for U.S. and global markets.
Technical SEO Contributions : Assist in analyzing platform improvements (JavaScript/React environment) to ensure crawlability, indexation, and site performance.
AI-Enhanced SEO Workflows : Use GenAI tools to support keyword research, content optimization, metadata generation, and reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with product, engineering, and marketing teams to integrate SEO into new experiences, migrations, and redesigns.
Performance Tracking : Collaborate with analytics to monitor KPIs, track results, and identify new growth opportunities.
Education & Evangelism : Help communicate SEO best practices across teams and act as a resource for day-to-day SEO questions.
Agency & Vendor Partnership : Support the coordination and tracking of deliverables with external SEO partners.
Required Skills & Qualifications
2 years of SEO experience (agency or in-house; enterprise/global experience a plus).
Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Adobe Analytics, etc.).
Advanced technical SEO understanding and web architecture (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Exposure to or interest in using Generative AI to enhance SEO workflows.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
Qualifications
Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually bonus benefits
