Job Description
The Material Operations Specialist will support the material operations communications and interactions with different areas of the business. Drive business improvement initiatives and problem-solving on critical measures such as customer service and data accuracy. Provide support on analyses of system issues, integration, data and testing.
Will be responsible to align, ensure accuracy, and maximize the system utilization across the network among other activities such as: assurance of conformance of Inventory Control, timely resolution of unpaid invoices and purchase order issues, exception reports generation / investigations, and SOPs compliance to all safety, GMPs and other applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
Create and revise SOPs per established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with cGMPs, AbbVie Policies, DOT and safety regulations.
Generate, investigate, and close warehouse area exception reports in accordance to established QA policies.
Investigate and works across departments in the resolution of unpaid invoice issues related to purchase order receipts.
Investigate and work together with other departments in the investigation and timely resolution of warehouse related equipment alarms.
Submit and clear warehouse count tickets to assure conformance to Inventory Control and Accuracy.
Manages the eMDO warehouse process to assure timely destruction of identified materials.
Investigate and collaborate with other departments in the resolution of warehouse related maintenance work orders.
Evaluate and work to align, ensure accuracy and maximize the system utilization across the network.
Responsible for other task related to functions assigned by the Warehouse Management.
Conform to EHS management system requirements and compliance obligations, promote continuous improvement, and consider EHS aspects during the design and change process. Comply with all EHS procedures and policies including incident reporting, use of PPE, waste management and disposal, and any other program applicable according to the position duties.

Continuous walking for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hr day) is required
Driving a personal auto or company car or truck, or a powered piece of material handling equipment
Frequent to continuous computer usage (greater or equal to 50% of the workday) is required
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Science or Engineering.
Minimum of 2 years combined experience in any of the following areas: Production / Materials Planning, Inventory Control, Shipping and Receiving.
Previous experience in an FDA Regulated warehouse is required.
The incumbent must have experience with computerized inventory control systems (SAP) and hands-on experience in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Must be familiar with the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.
Must be fully bilingual, Spanish and English, both written and verbal (required).
Availability to work holidays, and weekends according to business needs.
