AppleCare SSCO is seeking a highly motivated operational leader to join the Business Operations team, supporting our dynamic AppleCare business and helping transform our operations.
Description
AppleCare is seeking a highly motivated professional to manage pivotal projects that drive cost savings, enhance supplier performance, and optimize operational excellence globally. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing cost strategies, including negotiating and managing expenses for new buys, repairs, warranty services, and out-of-production parts. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align service delivery with financial goals, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality results.
In this role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for managing suppliers and monitoring the performance of the service supply chain. This includes overseeing supplier execution in service operations, coordinating quarterly business reviews, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to meet evolving business needs. The candidate will work closely with the procurement and technical teams to ensure that supplier contracts meet cost, quality, and continuity goals. Additionally, they will manage reverse logistics, monitor supply and demand planning, and ensure compliance with Apple’s standards for service levels, cost control, and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will support sustainability efforts through reuse and repair programs, tracking their environmental benefits and advancing circular economy initiatives across the service supply chain. They will utilize strategic planning skills to contribute to cross-functional projects that drive growth, diversification, and risk mitigation while growing operations. This involves implementing data-driven strategies, improving processes, and aligning activities with long-term business objectives. Additionally, they will serve as a key liaison with internal Planning, Purchasing, and Quality teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment with Apple’s broader strategic goals. This position offers the chance to create a significant impact on the organization’s ability to stay competitive in a rapidly evolving market.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of experience in supplier and supply chain management within high-volume industries such as personal computing or consumer electronics, with expertise in contract negotiation, pricing strategies, and supply chain design
3–5 years managing outsourced manufacturing or service operations, including direct engagement with overseas suppliers
Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS)
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to design and optimize business processes for efficiency, scalability, and performance
Strong procurement and project management skills, with success leading cross-functional initiatives
Familiarity with reverse logistics and service operations
Excellent communication skills, bridging technical and business perspectives
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization abilities in multifaceted, fast-paced environments
Ability to navigate and influence within large, matrixed organizations
Proficiency in Excel (including Macros) and Tableau
Master's degree
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $157,200 and $236,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
