We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager to lead the People Finance Team within Retail Finance. This role will drive staffing strategy and financial management for Apple's stores globally, partnering with key functions across the organization.

Description

Join the Retail Finance team as the leader focused on devising and implementing staffing strategy for Apple's 500+ stores globally across 27 countries, managing opex in excess of $4B. This role directly impacts customer and employee experience in support of Apple Store's commercial objectives. The team responsibilites span strategy and analysis, forecasting, reporting and spend management, requiring direct collaboration with field leadership and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will combine strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities with exceptional leadership skills to transform staffing operations through technology innovation, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic insights that directly impact store performance and customer experience. responsibility and executive exposure.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of financial and business leadership experience with a track record for building financial acumen and accountability across complex, matrixed organizations

  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring direct reports and managing high value and/or risk projects with a keen eye to accuracy, attention to detail, and process efficiency.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other quantitative field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lead and develop a team of financial professionals to manage the complex staffing needs of Apple's Retail Stores while delivering exceptional employee and customer experiences

  • Drive thought leadership in staffing strategy, fostering cross-functional debate and collaboration to devise innovative approaches to workforce planning and optimization

  • Own financial management and execution for Apple Retail's people expenditure, dynamically adjusting staffing levels and spend in close partnership with senior leadership to meet evolving business needs

  • Build close relationships with People, Recruitment, Store Operations, Payroll, Tax, Legal, and other teams to execute initiatives, improve performance, and drive cost-saving and efficiency opportunities

  • Transform staffing operations through strategic technology implementation, designing and deploying systems and tools that enable the future of store workforce management

  • Deliver core FP&A responsibilities including forecasting, analysis, and executive reporting to provide senior leaders with clear performance insights and actionable recommendations

  • Exceptional executive presence with ability to influence, advise, and challenge cross-functional partners across all organizational levels

  • Deep analytical and critical thinking capabilities combined with creative problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity for continuous improvement

  • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills, with comfort presenting business performance narratives and strategic recommendations to senior executives

  • Agile and adaptable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with ability to set clear vision and direction amid complexity

  • Strong leadership experience managing, mentoring, and developing direct teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
