Hardware Engineering is seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee internal software applications development. The role involves supporting a team of tools engineers across various disciplines, working on internal, enterprise-level applications. The ideal candidate is an adept problem solver, a self-starter, and an excellent communicator, with a strong focus on driving projects to completion. This is a hands-on position where the Project Manager will be involved in requirements analysis, functional and technical discussions, testing, proof-of-concept, and more.
We’re looking for someone with a strong sense of responsibility and personal ownership over the products delivered. Clear communication of roles, responsibilities, and project scope is essential. Integrity guides all interactions, and the ability to navigate challenges effectively is key. A deep understanding of processes and a commitment to the success of the entire Project Management team is important. The ability to navigate uncertainty while bringing structure and clarity is crucial. Strong judgment and wisdom in decision-making, along with a focus on building positive relationships, are vital. A continuous drive for personal and team improvement is expected.
Description
The primary responsibility of this role is to collaborate closely with engineers across a variety of disciplines to ensure the timely execution of roadmaps set by leadership and stakeholders. You will be expected to proactively address any critical timeline impacts by proposing solutions and recommending effective paths to resolution.
The position requires an individual who gets into the details, has excellent organizational skills, understands software development, and has expertise working with Software Engineering, Design, QA, and cross-functionally with various organizations to manage and track deliverables.
You will go deep into the details of your projects, and be ready at any time to communicate status effectively to your peers and leadership. Successful team collaboration and securing buy-in are essential. The ability to unify diverse perspectives around a common goal is crucial, as is effectively representing the team in presentations to leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant discipline preferred
At least 5 years of Project Management expertise delivering web based applications through a full project lifecycle, with impeccable organizational skills and attention to details.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within a diverse portfolio of applications, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timely delivery.
Experience managing projects using Agile software development (e.g. Scrum or Kanban), and collaborating with multiple cross-functional distributed teams.
Able to quickly grasp complex ideas and resolve conflicts across cross-functional teams (engineers, designers, etc.), fostering collaboration and maintaining project momentum.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Deep understanding of the software product lifecycle, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration and process optimization.
Requires experience in providing regular updates to executive management.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors, ensuring clear communication, alignment on goals, and regular progress updates to drive successful collaboration.
Focus on software development metrics collection and analysis to drive data-informed decision making and improve project outcomes.
Agile Project Management certifications.
