Description
The PLM System Administrator Support & Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting, configuring, and improving the company’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform. This role focuses on ensuring smooth system operations, aligning PLM functionality with business needs, and directing a team that bridges the gap between technical capabilities and business processes.
Working in close collaboration with IS&T, engineering, operations, supply chain, and marketing teams, this leader will support system maintenance, guide process improvements, and manage business analysis efforts to optimize workflows and user adoption.
Responsibilities
Support, configure, and maintain the PLM system (Teamcenter PLM preferred).
Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and security in coordination with IS&T.
Assist with upgrades, patches, and integrations.
Solve issues, supervise system health, and raise problems as needed.
Document workflows, system usage, and support procedures.
Work with partners to gather business requirements and translate them into PLM configurations or enhancements.
Support continuous improvement by analyzing workflows and recommending optimizations.
Facilitate system testing, validation, and user acceptance processes.
Help develop dashboards, and reports to improve insight into PLM usage and outcomes.
Act as a liaison between business users and IS&T resources.
Manage and mentor a team of PLM business analysts and administrators.
Prioritize support requests and projects, balancing business needs with available resources.
Drive multi-functional collaboration to improve system adoption and business alignment.
Provide training, communication, and change management support for new features and processes.
Stay ahead of on PLM standard processes and emerging technologies to bring fresh insights to the organization.
Manages global user support operations for a diverse engineering community.
Oversees onboarding, training, and self-service resources.
Resolves complex critical issues in coordination with multi-functional teams.
Monitors satisfaction metrics to drive continuous improvement and establishes support processes, SLAs, and communication standards to ensure a consistent, high-quality user experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree + 10 years minimum experience
Experience with PLM systems, including system administration and business analysis.
Leadership or team management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in at least one major PLM system (Teamcenter preferred)
Understanding of databases, APIs, and integrations.
Familiarity with CAD data management, BOM management, and change control processes.
Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing workflows.
Experience supporting ERP and CAD preferred.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Skilled communicator, able to connect technical and business perspectives.
Collaborative, with proven ability to support diverse teams and drive adoption.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,200 and $275,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
