Description
You will be part of a small team responsible for: Bench test, debug, and characterization of embedded on-chip circuitry (PLLs, DLLs, Clocks, Data Converters, and various I/O Interfaces). Development of benchtop electrical tests exercising on-chip circuitry through a combination of FPGA, JTAG, and analog interfaces. Drafting & Execution of scripts to automate tests, extract results, and generate reports using database and analytical tools. Generating reports for characterization and/or debugging to provide design feedback In-system PI/SI measurements for correlation with simulation models. Collaborating with cross functional teams including Design, System HW, and SW Supporting ATE and Product Engineering
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical area plus 7 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have experience in high-speed serial links with expertise in the following:
Very knowledgeable and experienced with common high-speed SerDes protocols (e.g., PCIe, USB, SATA, etc.)
Strong fundamental understanding of analog & mixed signal circuitry in one or more of the following domains: PLL’s, High Speed IO, Clock circuits, and Signal Integrity measurements.
Knowledge of SerDes design and architecture including CDR and equalization.
Expert in lab instruments such as BERT’s, High speed Oscilloscope’s, Spectrum Analyzer, DAQ’s etc.
Excellent in scripting language, Python preferred, to automate test and analyze data
Initiative in taking ownership & responsibility to drive deliverables
Able to think outside the box and come with creative solutions for lab validation.
