How will you make an impact in this role?
Oversees team of Cybersecurity colleagues dedicated to data security, leading the daily operations of the data encryption and data security posture management programs. Provides strategic guidance to ensure high-quality, secure, scalable and integrated data security solutions and controls are implemented. Act as product owner of data security capabilities for encryption, discovery, classification and integration with the IT Asset Management.
Key Responsibilities
Determines the strategy, design and execution of the data security program, ensuring alignment with the company's technology, security, data risk management vision and goals
Collaborates and co-creates with data risk management, product and business teams to align data security technology initiatives with the business’ data management objectives
Lead the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies such as advanced encryption and data discovery methods to deliver most secure and efficient solutions, to quickly enable the business
Leads the data security team to deliver multiple projects and author policies, standards, controls, procedures, metrics that manage data risk consistently and in accordance with regulatory expectations
Provides direct leadership and coaching to Data Encryption and Data Security Posture Management teams
Attracts and retains top talent for the team, ensuring a high-functioning and cohesive unit, implementing strategies for professional development
Mentors the data security colleagues, enabling a culture of continuous learning, growth, and inclusivity for each colleagues through mentoring and feedback
Leads resource allocation, project timeline, and budget for projects, ensuring delivery in a complex and fast paced environment
Collaborates with senior leadership to develop and implement capabilities and processes to protect data, integrated with other enterprise technology and security solutions
Lead the prioritization of data security needs, making tough decisions to balance risk, cost and speed to enable the business
Collaborate with C-suite executives, translating critical data security information into insights that inform risk and investment decisions
Lead audit and regulatory response when data security and protection is examined
Leverage broad industry experience to gather and analyze external perspectives, utilize enterprise thinking to implement best practices
Represent the organization in external forums, engaging with data security teams at other companies to share information thoughtfully
Maintain awareness of geopolitical environments and emerging risks, synthesizing recommendations for the organization
Work Experience
Experience in large-scale cybersecurity design and implementation in a complex environment
Leadership experience within a Technology organization or product development company, with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity strategy and execution
Knowledge of multiple technology principles and practices
Experience in attracting, hiring, retaining, and leading top architectural talent, and building high-performing teams in competitive markets that are geographically dispersed
Experience in leading in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic global environment
Experience in turning new technologies into business solutions, with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity innovation and scalability
Experience in strategic planning and execution of cybersecurity programs in the fintech industry
Licenses and Certifications
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
SANS Cybersecurity Leadership Trainings and Certifications
Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity Engineering, and/or comparable experience

Qualifications
Salary Range: $219,000.00 to $338,250.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
