As a writer and strategist in the AppleCare Digital group, you'll help customers around the globe to get the most out of their Apple products. We work with a collaborative team and author content that helps customers and advisors find the answers they need, when and where they need them.

Description

As a writer-strategist, you will be responsible for planning and writing support content that’s easy to find, use, and understand. We work closely with SEO leads, project managers, and designers. You’ll conduct content reviews with key partners from engineering, product marketing, and legal teams. This role requires you to think critically about the content you build: How content fits together, what content to write, how customers will use it, when they’ll need it, and how they’ll find it. You will identify content gaps and propose logical ways to fill them based on data. You’ll build, review, and socialize content plans, progress, and results with partners and senior managers, and you’ll track KPIs to measure content efficiency and optimize/improve content as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years of related experience with a BA/BS degree (technical writing discipline or related field preferred); or a PhD or equivalent work experience

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

  • Partner with engineering partners, and marketing stakeholders to build content

  • Partner across teams to facilitate delivery of business-critical optimizations

  • Experience crafting content plans and using data to make decisions and advocate for a strategy

  • Understand usability principles and structured authoring to support AI

  • Lead change requests with tact and timeliness

  • Ability to balance multiple tasks for several projects at the same time, often on short timelines

  • Use common Key Performance Indicators found in content management organizations

  • Work respectfully with a variety of personalities and work styles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience writing content for desktop, mobile, and other apps and channels (experience with single-source content/CMS)

  • Ability to synthesize content requests and data from multiple sources into cohesive content plans

  • Experience with style guides (experience writing globally and accessibly)

  • Experience writing sleek, user-focused content (technical writing is a plus)

  • Skilled at socializing ideas across all levels of an organization and turning them into robust action plans for delivery

  • Superb organizational skills and a proven track record of producing content projects in a transparent and well-documented manner
