The IS&T Enterprise Business Apps group is seeking a Software Engineering Manager who has a proven track record in developing and managing high quality enterprise software solutions. Our group is responsible for Enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) transformation initiative to deliver next generation PLM+ Platform to drive Apple’s Product Innovation across hardware, software and services lines of business.

Description

In this position, you’ll lead our technology team and work closely with key business stakeholders to build an enterprise PLM+ platform that enables Product Lifecycle Management, Product innovation and Collaboration across Apple’s product value chain.
We are looking for someone with extensive experience building and delivering large scale, on-premise, and cloud-based enterprise solutions. This individual should have sound technical knowledge, management & leadership skills. A great candidate will create a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, innovation, and learning.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years of software engineering experience, with ~5 years managing and leading engineering teams.

  • Strong domain expertise in PLM and Supply Chain systems, driving large-scale enterprise solutions.

  • Extensive background in Java/J2EE development and application integration.

  • Proven success designing and deploying solutions in cloud environments, with a focus on scalability and performance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Leading system design, integration, and deployment in complex, integrated environments.

  • Microservices architectures and container-based deployment (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Web development with JavaScript, NodeJS, React, and Bootstrap.

  • Relational databases (SQL) and multi-modal NoSQL databases (DocumentDB, GraphDB).

  • Web services (RESTful, SOAP), Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
