DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented onsite Parts Professional to join our team specializing in logistics for our branch in Miami Lakes, Florida!

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Under direct or close supervision, follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, perform system transactions and dispatch parts in the local branch, checking for damage and discrepancies between goods and invoices.

  • Accurately sort, label, store goods and arrange storage to optimize warehouse space.

  • Operate forklift and other warehouse machinery to pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders.

  • Participate in general inventory duties; cycle counting, location maintenance, etc.

  • Maintains clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and performs planned operator care and maintenance tasks.

  • Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet business goals.

  • Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards, policies, procedures and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Minimal work experience required or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, generating reports and intermediate level computer skills.

  • Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds occasionally, wear required personal protective equipment.

  • Requires Cummins provided certification to operate powered industrial vehicles (reach trucks, order pickers, pallet rider, etc.) and/or other heavy machinery.

  • Ability to maintain a neat and clean appearance in the customer parts area and parts warehouse.

  • Please note, this is an onsite, Union position at our Branch in Miami Lakes, Florida.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • This position does not require any Department of Transportation (DOT) related pre-screenings.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
