The Blueprint Line of Credit, New Accounts Credit Risk Strategy team is looking for a Manager to develop and drive new accounts strategies.
Develop credit risk management solutions for Line of Credit (LOC) product in support of underwriting, customer acquisition and retention strategies
Develop core risk management rules and policies through innovative solutions in collaboration with internal and external partners and leveraging internal and external information
Closely collaborate with partners and stakeholders to drive results and grow the portfolio, and build strong relationships and provide proactive and thoughtful communications to stakeholders and partner teams
Closely partner with teams across Decision Science, Product, Marketing, RPDS, Compliance and Finance to develop strategies that enable prudent and profitable growth, while controlling for through-the-cycle volatility
Enhance risk decisions by incorporating new information, new techniques, and changing factors
Provide independent decisions by combining data driven facts and intuition on case by case basis for new account scenarios
Analyze structured and unstructured data, and translate that into actionable business insights and strategies.
Identify and evaluate new data sources that could add incremental profitability to LOC and to other American Express's products/services
Minimum Qualifications:
Advanced degree (e.g., MS, PhD, or MBA) in a quantitative field such as Econometrics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, or Computer Science
Advanced degree is preferred but not required given a suitable combination of formal education and work experience
Credit/Fraud risk management experience and understanding of credit lifecycle is preferred
Blend of analytical skills, process expertise, project management, and relationship-building skills
Ability to handle large datasets using SAS, SQL, R, Python or another similar programming language
Thought leadership and solution-oriented mindset
Ability to think strategically and apply both quantitative methods and business insights to drive results
Ability to build strong relationships in a cross-functional environment
Clear, effective written and oral communication skills.
Qualifications
Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually bonus benefits
