DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Facilities Associate - Level II to join our team specializing in Facilities for our Cummins Inc. facility in Stoughton, WI.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Leading Facilities Projects Smoothly – Coordinating design, quotes, scheduling, and execution of facility changes to ensure upgrades happen efficiently with minimal disruption.

  • Streamlining Vendor Collaboration – Managing relationships with service providers and vendors to secure quality outcomes, cost savings, and timely delivery of furnishings, equipment, and support.

  • Communicating Changes Effectively – Keeping facility occupants informed and prepared for adjustments or improvements by clearly outlining project timelines and expectations.

  • Supporting Strategic Purchasing – Partnering with corporate purchasing to evaluate suppliers, consolidate contracts, and reduce costs while maintaining service quality.

  • Delivering on Budget Management – Developing, documenting, and tracking budgets, purchase orders, and invoices to support sound financial practices and project accountability.

  • Maximizing Space Utilization – Using CAD tools to update and manage facility layouts, ensuring efficient use of office and floor space across locations.

  • Improving Systems Through Audits – Engaging in self and team audits to identify gaps, enhance processes, and drive facility excellence.

  • Coordinating Infrastructure Installations – Overseeing communications equipment installations and construction projects to align with strategic plans and facility goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Emergency Preparedness – Develop and manage plans for power outages, fire, flooding, and other emergencies, ensuring the site is ready, systems are functional, and risks are mitigated.

  • Master Facilities Maintenance – Evaluate facility conditions regularly, manage maintenance activities strategically, and implement preventive systems that prioritize safety and efficiency.

  • Oversee Daily Facility Operations – Ensure smooth delivery of occupant services and manage infrastructure needs like lighting, HVAC, water systems, and security through operational planning and contractor coordination.

  • Balance Technical and Business Priorities – Use criticality analysis and predictive tools to make smart asset management decisions while staying aligned with business objectives.

  • Communicate and Document with Precision – Keep everyone informed of changes, system statuses, and improvements while maintaining clear documentation for budgets, service contracts, and project implementation.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information:

Shipping 60% site responsibilities

  • Shipping and Receiving operations for the Stoughton campus – training in DOT, Haz Waste/Materials, International and software related to Transplace, FEDEX and UPS.

  • Upkeep of warehouse inventory to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Off site (Reynolds) coordination of shipments, deliveries, asset tracking (AIM), processing, cycle counting and cross charging fees for storage of assets and transportation.

  • Forklift preventative maintenance of battery and propane operated PIV’s, track and maintain records.

  • Fleet vehicle maintenance scheduling and managing trip sheets etc.

  • Track propane usage for reporting and filing.

  • Waste and recycling container accountability with Waste Management

Compensation:

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
