The WTE team is looking for a highly qualified software test engineer to help ensure quality for any of the Wireless Technologies - like Thread/Wi-Fi/BT/Zigbee - for all iOS, Apple Watch, Apple TV and Mac OS platforms. The candidate should have excellent in problem solving, passion for quality and great communication skills.
Description
As a Wireless Software Test Engineer on our team, you will join a dynamic team responsible for qualifying the wireless features and software for the latest iPhones/iPads, Apple Watches, Apple TV’s, and Mac OS product lines. The successful candidate will drive to ensure the quality and user experience centric team
Minimum Qualifications
Proficiency in Python and/or C/C++. Previous automation experience required
3+ years of experience in Wi-Fi/BT or Thread/Zigbee (802.15.4) Functional or Performance Testing
Experience in developing test strategies and executing it with automation or manual testing
Solid understanding of existing wireless communication protocols, such as 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be
Good understanding or Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/Cellular Co-Existence
Support development in debugging and reproducing issues
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge using and understanding of lab equipment: signal analyzer, signal generator, spectrum analyzer, sniffer tools
Can clearly communicate and driving multiple projects across many teams
Obsessively passionate and inquisitive
Laser-focused on the smallest details that are meaningful to our customers
Thrive in a collaborative environment and comfortable working with cross-functional teams
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $107,100 and $222,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
