Summary

This role is responsible for the development and support of all systems operating within the AMS production lab, ensuring continuous testing, validations, and debugs on reliable and robust systems. The position applies electrical engineering fundamentals and engineering evaluations to analyze system behavior, support issue diagnosis, and assist in restoring stable operation in coordination with established engineering and operations processes. The role emphasizes accurate and methodical execution as well as tight collaboration within the team and various cross functional teams to support the operational continuity.

Description

The AMS Lab Operation Engineer works in production engineering environments where system uptime, repeatability, and execution reliability are essential. This role is designed for methodical engineers who can perform hands-on work with electrical systems, test infrastructure, test equipment (such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and source-measure units), and lab instrumentation, as well as contributing to resolving issues that may impact schedules or output.

The role operates under the technical direction of senior engineers and within established engineering, safety, and change-control processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSEE + 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems, fixtures, or tooling.

  • Experience working around electrical test and measurement equipment.

  • Familiarity with production, test, manufacturing, or operations environments.

  • Basic understanding of networked equipment or TCP/IP concepts.

  • Exposure to troubleshooting system-level electrical or electromechanical issues.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, or technical documentation.

  • Familiarity with basic root-cause analysis and issue documentation practices.

  • Hands-on experience gained through internships, academic labs, or project-based work.
