Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Lead Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) operations team in planning and executing development builds and new product ramps, including haptics modules for iPhone, and introduction of spatial computing with Apple new AR headest Vision Pro. Drive ramp readiness with engineering, operations and OEM teams, including leveraging network to drive convergence between development schedule, module ramp requirements and finally product launch. Lead program readiness reviews that include overall program status of design, technical development and operations. Plan capacity and manage factory equipment budget for automation and test equipement for haptics module assembly lines and motors used in Vision Pro. Influence product manufacturability, testability, and supply chain responsiveness in pursuit of low cost and flexibility while stewarding quality through coordination and cooperation between multiple teams with competing objectives. Manage component readiness to ensure part availability, quality, and cost support product goals for products such as iPhone, iPad, Watch and Mac. Communicate system requirements and schedules to facilitate technical readiness with cross-functional supply chain teams, including coordinating weekly reviews with cross-functional teams to determine changes, schedules, and volume and leading program readiness reviews. Manage all operations related communications, upward as well as downward through the organization, escalate key issues , and present options for resolution to the cross-functional executive teams. International travel required 10%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,962 - $184,600/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Operations Research, Engineering (any) or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

  • 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:

  • Conducting new product development in manufacturing environment using knowledge of end-to-end product development, prototyping and operation of mass production

  • Performing Program Management for scaling products for mass production and launching them in different countries at large volume

  • Demonstrating technical experience in manufacturing of electro-mechanical components to identify the program risks

  • Conducting Risk Assessments and leveraging failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to identify and mitigate risks

  • Influencing decisions in product manufacturability, testability, and supply chain responsiveness through coordination and cooperation between multiple teams

  • Managing activites related to modules at different stage in the product development cycle and organize operation builds in the factory

  • Coordinating failure analysis and corrective actions for field failures with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
