How will you make an impact in this role?

AMEX Assurance Co. (AAC) provides insurance protection for American Express Card Members through implicit card benefits, and fee/add-on insurance products to both Card Members and non-Card Members. This exciting opportunity will reside in the Claim and Servicing Operations department of AAC, and primary responsibilities will include administrative and operational support for teams handling adjudication of insurance policies and claims; this role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the operational success and efficiency of AMEX Assurance Co. Insurance portfolio.

Your duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining state compliance and company service levels in all activities and engagements.

  • Provide critical administrative and operational support Amex Assurance Claims team and leadership.

  • Collaborate effectively with members of claims, compliance, regulatory and back-office support teams as well as multilevel leadership.

  • Coordinate and reconcile account activities and validations for card members and customers associated with embedded card benefits as well as fee based insurance products.

  • Manage workload distribution reporting and compliance as related to statutory and/or company guidelines and service level agreements.

  • Responsible for timely and accurate Medicare and other State or Federal claims data reporting and validation.

  • Maintain results at meets or above across multiple KPIs

  • Manage additional administrative duties for the insurance and benefits claims teams such as control reports, correspondence review and distribution, etc.

This position is based in Phoenix, AZ and the ideal candidate will work 3 days onsite / 2 days remotely. The hours of operation are: Monday - Friday 6am-5pm MST - with rotational weekends.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Customer First Principles demonstrated through excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Passion for exceptional service

  • Ability to multi-task and execute against deadlines

  • Strong phone skills

  • Ability to adapt to multiple demands, shifting priorities and rapid changes in workflow

  • Team player with willingness to assist with projects beyond immediate job scope.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, time management and organizational skills

  • Demonstrate sound decision making and creative problem-solving skills

  • Superior level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong proficiency in PC skills, including MS Word and Excel

  • 6-12 months of demonstrated administrative assistant experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of Insurance or Banking industry experience preferred

Salary Range: $20.00 to $33.65 hourly bonus benefits
