Job Description
Join a dynamic and innovative organization focused on delivering strategic technology solutions for Medical Affairs + Health Impact (MHI). As a Sr. Business Systems Analyst, you will serve as a partner in translating business goals into technology strategies, balancing tactical implementation with best-in-class technology for the Medical Affairs portfolio. Your role will involve creating documentation, planning, tracking tasks and milestones for the Therapeutic Area (TA) projects and customer relationship management (CRM) tools, while ensuring alignment with corporate standards and data privacy requirements.
To be successful, the candidate is expected to have technical and functional experience around digital technology capabilities and how different solutions interact with each other to enable business outcomes. This role will be required to collaborate with a highly matrixed organization, to ensure business value can be delivered with the solutions being proposed.
This position is expected to work with limited oversight, managing across multiple projects and workstreams, ensuring standardization & consistency, overseeing robust documentation, and communicating impact downstream to applications and users.
Responsibilities
Collect organizational insights to develop design requirements and user stories related to people, process and technology changes to drive enhanced services, continuous improvement and process automation.
Help to create alignment of stakeholders within the scope and strategy of initiatives. This includes the need to collaborate cross-functionally to successfully deliver high quality specialty patient support service programs and deploy best practice solutions.
Collaborate with business partners to understand medical and technological requirements for Therapeutic area digital needs and Medical Field tools (i.e., CRM).
Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technology
delivery teams.
Develop and oversee comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline,
and resource allocation, ensuring cross-functional alignment.
Utilize technical consulting skills to recommend and implement technology
solutions that drive mutually beneficial business outcomes.
Interacts well with diverse groups across business and technological functions and keeps strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.
Investigates and understands capabilities of existing systems and technologies already in use across the business area and similar and interconnected business areas in AbbVie and investigates available technologies applied to this business area in industry; identifies information required to support the business strategy and leads the development of appropriate information management strategies, developing them as an integrated part of the business strategy.
Allies with other BTOs to remain current on project status and inform customer management of progress; conversely, keeps BTS managers aware of user issues and resolves conflicts. Identifies the impact of any relevant statutory, internal or external regulations on the organization's use of information.
Promote a positive team culture, fostering innovation and open communication
across diverse, matrixed teams.
Ensure compliance with applicable AbbVie policies and procedures, staying
informed of technological trends and conducting necessary technical research.
Provide visibility and status updates to business and technology leadership
on project benefits, costs, and risks.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's Degree with 6 years’ experience or Master's Degree with 5 years'
experience in business analysis, project management, and technology
consulting.
Must exhibit exceptional teamwork skills, with proven ability working in a cross functional environment.
Must be able to effectively lead and facilitate meetings with customers and technical team members.
Demonstrated ability to implement digital solutions, including omnichannel.
strategies and scientific content delivery across various platforms.
Experience collaborating with customer relationship management systems.
Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
Must be deliverables focused and detail oriented.
Knowledge of methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage resources effectively.
Preferred:
Experienced in data analysis techniques to drive business insights and support strategic decision-making. (SQL skills preferred)
Project Management experience preferred.
Experience with pharmaceutical Medical Affairs, brand teams, or commercial environments preferred.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time ofthis posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location,and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. Salary: $82,500 - $157,500
