Apple's Marcom Platforms & Services (MP&S) team is looking for an experienced
front-end engineer to help bring Apple's online experiences to life.
MP&S is responsible for many of Apple's iconic brand experiences across various
websites, apps, and worldwide retail stores. Our teams collaborate across
disciplines while using best practices and the latest open-source technologies to
deliver high-impact projects and solutions that serve various Apple lines of
business.
Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual with an ownership mindset and a
keen focus on the customer. We value excellent problem-solving, communication,
and technical skills, as they are crucial in delivering the consistent, high-quality
experiences expected of Apple.
Description
As one of our front-end engineers, you will play a pivotal role in the architecture,
development, and delivery of campaigns and tools serving multiple lines of
business across many high-profile moments throughout the year.
Expect to collaborate with other engineers to create prototypes, utilities, or refine
existing platforms and applications. Meanwhile, you'll interface with several
disciplines, teams, and external partners to improve our production and delivery
while expanding our ever-growing toolkit.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of experience building complex, high-performing web experiences.
Demonstrated expertise in core front-end technologies, utilizing semantic
HTML, contemporary CSS techniques, and fundamental JavaScript.
Proficiency working with React.
Practical experience with version control systems such as Git and SVN.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with broader web development technologies, frameworks, and
runtimes such as Node.js, TypeScript, Next.js, Webpack, and/or CSS pre/post
processors such as Sass.
Experience developing and working with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
Firm understanding of security best practices and vulnerabilities.
Experience working in a global environment across multiple time zones and
geographies.
