Java Developer Whippany, NJ
As a Barclays Java Developer, you will work within a dedicated team of engineers to build, maintain and expand a new Digital framework. This framework will service our Corporate clients across web, mobile, tablet and other devices. You will work directly with our UX designers and UI developers to build out the backend integration services that can be extended to cover all existing and future services.

What will you be doing?
• Coding of key application patterns and components as part of functional and non-functional requirements, with the sound technical background • Understanding of Java(Spring)/Linux stack and REST/HTML technical domain • Responsible for researching solutions for business problems especially in new domains such as cloud based infrastructure • Delivering and maintaining detailed design output which will be used by larger development team to progress development • Contributing to developing and maintaining a BDD based QA automation and DevOps infrastructure • Supporting, monitoring, and troubleshooting production and non- production environments; minimizing impact to business • Handling production issues to provide/implement tactical solutions to minimize impact to business followed by strategic solutions • Responsible for hands-on experience of the top-to-bottom technologies of the stack or equivalent development area
What we’re looking for:
• 3+ years’ experience as a Full Stack Developer, working with J2E and Linux • Experience with Java 8+, Spring (most common modules), Spring Boot 2.X, Maven and Kubernetes • Experience with any Relational Database Management System, Oracle Preferred • Experience developing AP database tech and message systems, Kafka preferred
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Demonstrable experience in payments and / or banking • Experience with hosting application on Cloud environment • Familiarity with agile scrum • Working knowledge of Jenkins, Git and Micro-services architecture
