The Core Platform Bringup team within Apple's CoreOS organization is looking for an extraordinary software engineer to work on state-of-the art technology, debug, and bring-up of next generation of Apple devices, with a focus on Apple Private Cloud Compute hardware platforms. We work on a core technology for Apple. In this role you will have the chance to make a major impact in the way that Apple develops and ships products. Our working environment fosters product innovation, rapid product iteration, and a liberating amount of autonomy.

Description

Our team plays a key part in alll phases of a product’s life cycle. You will be involved in the specification and scope of hardware platforms, working cross-functionally to define and support product requirements and delivery. You will develop both driver-level firmware and operating system-level software for the platform, and then will be amongst the first in the company to bring up the hardware. You will drive product features and provide functional/industry specifications, and continue to work cross-functionally across the product lifespan, from concept to shipping.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Highly proficient in C/C++ Experience with firmware and driver development

  • Operating system architecture fundamentals

  • Knowledge of hardware platforms & processor architectures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Swift

  • Experience with operating system software development

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a related field

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $126,800 and $220,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
