Job Description
Role Number: 200626293-3401
Summary
The Sensing Architecture team is a multi-disciplinary team that develops state-of-the-art technologies and sensor modules across Apple’s product portfolio, including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, and more. We architect sensing systems that allow valuable user interactions with Apple products while enabling system and display roadmaps.
Description
We are looking for a resourceful engineer and architect to develop next-generation sensing HW systems on Apple’s innovative devices. You will be responsible for architecting the end-to-end sensing system — including sensor, ASIC requirements, back-end algorithms and calibration needs. You will be delivering an architecture package backed by extensive modeling and simulations that allows the HW teams to execute and build robust, power- and area-optimized sensing systems at scale. As an architect, you will help the HW teams accelerate progress by adding clarity to ambiguous design spaces, independently converging technical issues, and aligning efforts across teams.
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
Degree in one of these fields: Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering .
Preferred Qualifications
M.S. / Ph.D. with relevant project or coursework experience designing sensing systems
Deep understanding of electrical engineering, transducer physics, and system engineering
Experience in modeling complex multi-physics and electrical systems
Block level circuit simulation experience
Signal processing techniques, both analog and digital
Basics of linear algebra, probability, and statistics
Proficiency in MATLAB or equivalent packages
Experience in leveraging AIML technologies to create scripts and frameworks for enhanced efficiency
Software architecture best practices for complicated tool flows
Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
