Apple’s WW Channel Strategy & Operations (CSO) organization focuses on developing and deploying worldwide sales programs and best practices to deliver an extraordinary customer experience in the channel and drive Apple Channel sales. With deep functional expertise in digital, physical, and people enablement spaces, our WW CSO team closely collaborates with many cross-functional groups at worldwide and regional levels.
Apple is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented individual to join the Channel New Product Introduction (NPI) team. The Channel NPI team is responsible for ensuring that Apple customers worldwide enjoy a magical experience and see a high-quality merchandizing presentation in thousands of channel points of sale on the day of launch. This role is the intersection between Apple’s business strategy, product strategy, and in-store execution. Attention to detail is critical as we provide a world-leading experience of Apple’s new products. You will ensure that the integrity of the NPI moment is preserved and improved by a strong focus on operational excellence.
Description
In this role, you will:
Analyze sales data/trends to drive product merchandising strategy discussions with product marketing, sales, marcom, sales finance and operations teams
Understand new product strategy, product security requirements, visual merchandising standards and work with channel sales teams for product authorization
Work with Apple senior leadership to align on product merchandising strategy, taking into account regional sales performance, build plans and product preferences
Develop WW briefing content and lead briefing calls on day of product launch, aligning with other NPI cross-functional teams
Generate accurate product demo unit forecast for WW channel points of sale taking into account regional nuances to merchandising preferences
Develop merchandising element forecasts including security elements and acrylics to support in-store merchandising
Collaborate with engineering design and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate planning and on-time delivery of security elements and acrylics to support NPI launch activities
Work with regional teams to support NPI activities and utilize their feedback on sales, operations and store execution for future NPI planning
Identify risks to product launch and develop/implement risk mitigation plans to ensure Day 1 readiness in store
Provide periodic product launch plan and NPI readiness status updates to leadership
Support business decisions with robust business justification and data storytelling
Manage vendor capacity planning and budget planning
Drive optimization and automation of processes in NPI planning as part of continuous improvement
Minimum Qualifications
Typically requires 8+ years of experience in product merchandising, sales, supply chain, capacity planning or logistics
Experience in point of sale readiness and store experience for channel partners
Ability to apply sales analysis in development of merchandizing strategy
Proficient in managing large data sets and deriving key insights
Strong vendor management and budget management experience
Solid expertise in Excel and Keynote
Experience with Python
Bachelor’s degree required
Preferred Qualifications
Strong focus on problem solving with an ability to identify and implement scalable solutions
Sharp eye for details with a “hands-on” and continuous improvement approach to identify inefficiencies and design process improvements
Excellent presentation, communication, analytical skills, and attention to details
Experience working cross-functionally across all levels of a highly matrix organization
Proficiency in programming for processing large data sets (eg: Python),
Experience with tools such as Tableau and/or Business Objects is preferred
MBA or advanced degree is a plus
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $137,900 and $207,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
