As part of Apple’s WW Business Planning function, you will enable long-term growth via analytics of macro economic, B2B segment and computing trends, identifying and evaluating present and future opportunities based on business intelligence standard methodologies. You will support executive sales leadership directly to drive increased performance and partner with Business Development and Corporate Market Intelligence teams as well as Finance to influence and shape the multi-year Apple Business Sales Strategy. In this position, you will continuously deliver relevant and actionable strategic insights that will bring to life new business opportunities and perspectives, shaping Apple Business for years to come.

Description

In this role, you will:

  • Own synthesizing market trends (industry structure, competitive behavior, segment behavior and sentiment, macro economic evolution, reseller and channel performance, ecosystem economics, etc.) to translate relevant forces into business implications and potential actions by sharing your distilled analysis and action plan with the Sales leadership team.
  • Deliver overall and disaggregated analyses of sales performance (e.g. partner and product growth vs. market/sub-market, share changes, etc.) with actionable, compounded insights to inform executive leadership and shape the multi-year WW Apple Business plan.
  • Identify new segment and vertical opportunities as well as business development areas through extensive research and rigorous account planning fueled by monthly / quarterly strategic reviews.
  • Support the evolution of innovative commercial strategies and initial sell-in of recommended actions across all product and service categories.
  • Empower sales teams to plan and implement best-in-class sales plays to deliver substantial revenue and profit growth by deploying strategic insights generated by the Business Planning organization.
  • Identify innovative analytical methodologies and telling visualization techniques to turn data into meaningful actions by tapping into innovative tools and processes that can automate, self-serve and inform the entirety of the organization.
  • Scale knowledge across teams and be the expert on what is impacting the business and a resource for the entire organization.
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively within the team and external senior management stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Approximately 10+ years of experience in business planning, market and customer insights, and/or sales management.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Validated knowledge of relevant market drivers across the “value chain”; deep understanding of small, medium, large enterprise segments as well as government sector trends and their potential impact on the business. Knowledge in competitive intelligence and future mapping methodologies (objectives and key results, FiveForces, etc., pricing strategy, SOWT).

  • Proven record of success in meaningful positions encompassing business intelligence, B2B product marketing, product management, commercial management, market research, and /or future mapping. Experience with CRM systems, competitive intelligence platforms, and market intelligence tools.

  • Commercial insight experience in complex consumer electronic reseller or commercial markets, with deep familiarity with the Enterprise/B2B route to market and computing industry.

  • High level of experience with multifaceted analytical methodologies inclusive of AI / ML automation and how they can be applied through standard methodology in a commercial/consumer environment.

  • Experience in category management and decision-making process of external customers.

  • Ability to approach projects analytically, high level of numeracy and data management capabilities, and produce executive-level communications and presentations.

  • Experience working in a dynamic multi-disciplined environment juggling multiple projects and collaborators with different priorities.

  • Excellent computer skills (Advanced user of Excel and in-depth understanding of BI Databases, Tableau, AI/ML automation).

  • Experience within the B2B routes to market preferred (Enterprise, SMB, Carrier B2B, Government sector, etc.).

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $137,900 and $207,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
