The Marcom Photography team creates powerful imagery to tell Apple’s stories across our marketing, advertising, and communications channels. We act as a champion of Apple brand standards in all aspects of creative work. In collaboration with Newsroom, Corporate Communications, and Marcom Photography team members, the Photographer / Videographer role will document key senior executive trips in markets across the globe, as well as Apple suppliers, R&D labs, Retail store openings, and other centers of Apple innovation. You will be part of the team that drives key narratives across owned and social networks, as well as Internal Communications channels to engage employees worldwide.
Description
As a Videographer on Apple Newsroom’s Design Team within Marcom, you will build and produce compelling visual assets for a wide spectrum of global employee communications — from conception through flawless execution. You will be versatile in both producing and creating, working with others and working solo. This role will plan and lead complex shoots in the US and internationally, as well as working individually to shoot and produce visual assets from start to finish, sometimes with little advance notice. The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding talent as a videographer across multiple styles, and employs a strong understanding of lighting, focus and storytelling.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Creating meaningful, timely, inclusive visual assets within Apple’s unique style, including interviews, reportage and documentary footage, and narrative b-roll
Understanding and interpreting the voice and aesthetic to shape creative work that meets the organization’s expectations
Quickly assembling an edit for creatives to review
Recommending color-grading and other post notes for creatives to consider
Clear and successful collaboration with a variety of roles and creative team members across corporate and editorial teams
Expertly leading projects in accordance with Apple security and confidentiality policies
Working with Marcom teams to ingest, assemble metadata for, and archive work
Managing expectations effectively with key stakeholders from a variety of departments across Apple
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Photography, Cinematography, Film and / or Television Production or related area of study
At least 5+ years of relevant videography production experience creating content for publishing, advertising, film or other design-related industries
Shown proficiency with journalistic and reportage video capture across a variety of settings / contexts
A portfolio of work exhibiting substantial experience leading and shooting videography
Ability to travel, occasionally with minimal notice
Preferred Qualifications
Expert knowledge of current videography, including strong composition experience and consistent sharp focus
Overall knowledge of video production workflow from creative development to finishing, post production, and compression
Working knowledge of iPhone as a video capture tool
Successful collaborator with demonstrated client management skills, including experience dealing with executive leadership, in a fast-paced, constantly-changing environment
Unflappable demeanor in high-pressure situations with professional savvy to handle confidential matters and sensitive interactions
Strong prioritization skills and ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements
Strong communication, project and time management skills
Motivated self-starter who stays calm under pressure
A practiced fast learner, especially with technical details
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $115,100 and $173,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
