Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Conduct software bring up of Apple’s Cellular Solution on various hardware vehicles including Virtual Platform, FPGA boards and the Development boards. Coordinate with hardware and Chip Design teams when analyzing and root causing possible hardware bugs. Debug system activities and supporting the software development teams during the product development phase. Evaluate and research hardware and software improvements to enhance Apple’s Cellular Solutions. Review specifications for upcoming/future Apple platform solutions. Develop software tools to improve the team’s workflow. Report and investigate bug analysis reported from the factory during production and Field Test validation. 10% International and Domestic travel required.

40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $226,138.00 -$272,100.00/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation

  • 2 years of experience in each of the following skills is required

  • Debugging complex system issues reported during SW development, HW Bring Up and from Factory Production Lines

  • Using tools including LLDB, JTAG, Python, C/C++ and Cellular test equipment for firmware and hardware functionality testing.

  • Developing SW components communicating with hardware, host computers and mobile devices

  • Utilizing C/C++ for source code reviews, including analysis of various code paths to create granular and extensive test plans

  • Utilizing Python programming including the development of test automation framework and test suites for firmware quality testing

  • Using C/C++ to implement firmware and software for Embedded SW/FW applications

  • Experience with scripting languages and tools: Shell, Git and Object Oriented Programming

  • Experience in testing software system functionality using Windows and/or MacOS, Jenkins and automated builds
