The System Experience Test Engineering team is looking for a driven and dedicated
software quality engineer. As a member of our dynamic group, you will have the unique
and phenomenal opportunity to be part of testing the most iconic operating systems.
From Lock Screen interactions and Notifications to Control Center, the System
Experience team is responsible for preserving the fluid look and feel of Apple’s
ecosystems, as well as frameworks that drive Apple’s leading platforms iOS, iPadOS,
macOS, watchOS and tvOS.
Description
As a Software Quality Engineer, you will work in a multi-functional team which is
responsible for projects such as our system applications, frameworks and services. You
will work closely with software engineers, project managers and other Apple quality
teams. You will ensure that Apple delivers the next generation of its operating systems
with the highest quality by driving bug resolution, testing and feature progress. In this
role a software quality engineer will help us manage quality goals, drive testing and
prioritization of quality.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
1 year of experience in software.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in developing test plans, assessing risk, filing appropriate bugs, and consolidating bug reports
Experience in driving development and deployment of relevant testing tools and infrastructure
Experience is project management and driving deadlines and identifying and escalation focus areas to deliver products on time with high quality
Detail oriented, analytical, and creative problem solver with passion for quality processes
Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose a resolution
Ability to work independently, raise issues and take corrective action
Keen eye for detail
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $133,800 and $222,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
