Carrier Services plays a meaningful role in delivering a unified customer experience by enabling seamless integration between Apple Retail and Online Stores with major U.S. carriers for iPhone activations.

Description
This role demands extensive hands on experience of working as a DevOps Engineer for a big, business critical application. As a DevOp Engineer, you will be a core team member driving infrastructure related transformation of our application. You will influence the design, scale, and management of cloud infrastructure and application stacks.
Responsibilities
Candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills to isolate issues, determine root cause and implement effective and innovative solutions
Candidate should work cross functionally with other teams across Apple, to ensure our infrastructure and services are always accessible
Candidate should develop innovative solutions that go beyond merely checking requirement boxes
Candidate should be self motivated, capable of taking business critical decisions and should be comfortable working in a dynamic, ever changing environment
Candidate should work independently while knowing when to seek assistance to achieve team goals
Minimum Qualifications
5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering
Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS
Hands on expertise in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
Hands on experience with Linux systems and scripting in Python, Bash, or similar for automation
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields
Preferred Qualifications
Experience applying networking concepts in DevOps domain
Experience in GitOps such as ArgoCD
Experience cross-functional initiatives, and to architect, design, and deliver scalable, high-performance software solutions in collaboration with multiple teams
Hands-on experience with service mesh technologies (particularly Istio), Kubernetes Event-driven Autoscaling (KEDA) and tools like Karpenter for dynamic and efficient workload scaling
Proficient in using Git for version control, including experience with branching strategies and collaborative workflows
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
