Join Apple’s Cocoa 2D Graphics team and work with us on core technologies for macOS, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS. Our team is responsible for system level frameworks including CoreGraphics, ColorSync, PDFKit, ImageIO, ImageCapture and much more. Description

As Cocoa 2D Graphics and Imaging Engineer, you will work on CoreGraphics, ImageIO, and related frameworks and have the opportunity to build and evolve the Objective-C and Swift APIs.

You will collaborate with many other teams to deliver quality improvements and performance enhancements.You will help improving the security of our frameworks. You will deliver well-designed, robust, and maintainable infrastructure and mitigations that meaningfully improve end user security.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge of programming languages Swift, C, C++ and/or ObjC combine with operating systems level engineering

  • Sound understanding of graphics APIs and reliable familiarity with CoreGraphics, AppKit and UIKit APIs

  • Deep understanding of system-level concepts including multi-threaded design, synchronization, and interprocess communication

  • Ability to improve security and robustness of graphics framework

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent

  • Knowledge of ARM or x86 assembly code and optimization

  • Proven track record shipping outstanding software products

  • Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills with attention to detail

  • Strong low-level debugging abilities

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
